When you purchase your bag I advise that you treat it as the precious bag it is. To keep the leather clean I suggest you regularly apply with a soft brush a quality leather Dubbin or Leather conditioner (do not use Shoe Polish!) and leave it to soak in before gently polishing it in with a soft cloth. The bags have already been heavily sprayed with Scotchgard, however I do recommend that depending on how often the bag is used that you do give the inside a good spray every 6 months or so to protect from staining.  The fur or cowhide on the outside of your bag just needs a soft brush with the grain of the fur and also a fresh spray of Scotchgard or a similar water resistant  spray .
